Publix shopping trip--12/28/09

Okay, so I haven't laid out my weekly/monthly grocery budgets yet, but I made a trip to Publix today and bought a few items that I had some great coupons for.  My goal each shopping trip is to see my dollar amount saved total be equal to or higher than my dollar amount spent total.  I didn't quite make it today.  I was close, though.

That's not too bad.  Could it be better?  Yes.  I didn't have to buy the detergent or the fabric softener since I have some already, but this will add to my stash.  Eventually, I will need it.  And now I don't have to buy it until February, maybe.  So that will allow me to take the money that I would ordinarily spend on that sort of stuff in January and apply it somewhere else.  


When I break it down like this, those are some really great deals I've got there.  Coffee creamer for $.50!?!  WHAT?!?!  TWO bags of Chex Mix for $.49!?!?  Holy crap!
